National Health Insurance Certificates Will Change from October 1
The renewal of health insurance certificates, which is done every two years, will take place in October 2005.
Cards for each member of households that subscribe to National Health Insurance will be mailed to the head of the household by the end of September. (Health insurance premiums will continue to be calculated as they have been, with the sum for each household member added together for the household as a unit, and the head of the household receiving the premium notice/invoice.)
* For foreign residents, the period of validity for health insurance certificates differs according to visa status. If your visa will expire before September, please complete the procedures for renewal and obtain a period of stay for one year or longer before completing the procedures for National Health Insurance.
* Do not lend or borrow NHI certificates. You will be punished by law.
<Please Return Invalid Health Insurance Certificates>
Please return health insurance certificates that have expired. If you enroll in some other form of public health insurance such as Social Insurance, please return your National Health Insurance certificate when completing withdrawal procedures.
