| The Names and Service Counters of Some City Office Sections Have Changed To promote the efficient operation of sanitation services and special assistance education, Shinagawa City has revised the name and service counters of some City Office sections. Also, in order to promote the maintenance of roads and parks in a unified manner, three civil engineering offices have been merged into the Roads and Parks Section. The names of some service counters have changed The responsibilities of some service counters have changed. The main changes follow.
The following section names have changed
The following desks have been established to promote new services: Disaster Prevention Desk (Disaster Prevention Section) This desk, which doubles as the Crisis Management Office, will reinforce the comprehensive initial emergency communication system when a disaster strikes. Elderly Medical System Preparation Desk (Senior Citizens’ Affairs Section) This desk was established to handle new medical programs for those who are 75 years of age or older. Roads Maintenance Subsection/Parks Maintenance Subsection (Roads and Parks Section) Three civil engineering offices have been merged to reinforce the maintenance programs for roads and parks. Building Structural Consultation Desk (Construction Section) This desk reinforces the instruction and consultation programs concerning earthquake-resistance and building strength.
