FY2007 National Health Insurance Premiums Have Been Determined
The National Health Insurance premiums for the year (from April 2007 through March 2008) should be paid with the Basic Portion (for Medical Treatment) added to the Nursing Care Insurance Premiums (for those between 40 and 64 years of age), as the total National Health Insurance premium.
The premiums for the year will be divided into 10 installments to be paid from June through March. This means that the premiums for April and May will be included in the amounts paid in and after June.
Mailed in Mid-June: Insurance Premiums Notice + Invoices (Five sheets for payments in June through October)
Mailed in Mid-November: Invoices (Five sheets for payments in November through March)
*The number of invoice sheets may vary depending on the amounts and payment conditions.
If you moved into Shinagawa City on or after January 2, 2007, the city office will refer to the Resident’s Tax of your previous address. Initially, you will be notified only of the per capita amount, and you will later receive a revised notice after your Resident’s Tax is confirmed.
With the change in making the FY2007 Resident’s Tax percentage a uniform 10%, insurance premiums will be calculated by reducing the tax percentage (2.5% for those whose taxable income is ¥7,000,000 or less, with a maximum of ¥50,000).
