The 19th Traditional Crafts and Tastes of Shinagawa Exhibition |
Artisans who have preserved the traditional crafts and cooking of the Shinagawa area demonstrate their superior skills once a year. This year, there will be a lecture on kimono making and a shakuhachi (bamboo flute) performance.
Tegaki yuzen (hand painted yuzen dyeing), ukiyo-e printing, Buddhist sculpture making, Edo-kiriko (Edo glass cutting), wood lathe work, shamisen, kimono making, crest design, metal cosmetic scissor making, Tokyo paulownia wood chest carving, mounting, Tokyo silverwork, lacquerware, textile work using plants as dyes, paper lantern calligraphy, obi making, making wire netting, antique repairing, making Japanese fishing rods, and making inkstones.
