A special allowance is available as an emergency financial aid measure to help alleviate the financial burdens incurred by households raising two or more children in preschool education.

Eligibility: Households (registered in the foreign resident registration in Shinagawa City as of February 1, 2009) for which both of the following conditions apply:
　(1) Households with two or more children born between April 2, 1990, and April 1, 2005
　(2) The second and subsequent children are born between April 2, 2002, and April 1, 2005
Allowance amount: ¥36,000 per child for the second and subsequent children
Information and application forms will be mailed to eligible households. In some cases, this allowance may be applicable even if the children are not living in the same home, e.g., if the parents are separated. Please call for more information.

　　　of the Children’s Section (to the Children’s Benefit Subsection of the Child Raising

　　　soon after you receive the form.
