Relaxing in Greenery and Flowers
Plum blossoms, cherry blossoms, and rape blossoms bloom in early spring; the greenery is lush in summer; and in autumn, cosmos blooms and maple leaves change color. Parks and roadside trees offer city residents beautiful natural scenery in all four seasons.

Experiencing History
Shinagawa Historical Museum and Omori Shell Mounds Park help visitors learn about the history of the Omori shell mounds, which were built up in the Jomon period. It is also possible to trace the history of the area during the Edo period, when it was known as Shinagawa-shuku, the first post station on the Tokaido road linking Nihon-bashi Bridge in Edo, as Tokyo was then known, to Sanjo Ohashi Bridge in Kyoto.
