Best Wishes for the New Year!

Last year we experienced an unprecedented disaster, the Great East Japan Earthquake, which drove many people into deep sadness. As a result of the financial confusion in Europe, Japan's economy also struggled, making it a year of trials for all. I am praying that the New Year at hand will be a calm and peaceful one.
At the same time, I will do my utmost again this year to achieve my mission of making the motto "Shinagawa: The City We Love to Live Longer with Thousands of Shining Smiles" a reality. I truly appreciate everyone's gracious understanding and continued support.
In closing this New Year's greeting, I would again like to extend my heartfelt best wishes to everyone for the New Year!
