Ebara Hiratsuka General Citizens’ Hall, built on the site of the former Hiratsuka Elementary School and known as Square Ebara, opened on April 1. Square Ebara is meant to be a facility that everyone loves as a place to get together, relax, and meet new people, and as a center for culture, art, and sports activities as well as friendly exchanges for all city residents.

● To use these facilities, you must make a reservation in advance and pay a fee.
● Priority is given to those who live in Shinagawa City or groups in Shinagawa City. Applicants can participate in the lottery on the first day applications are accepted.
● If you complete group registration and acquire a password, you can make a reservation via the Internet using the Shinagawa Facility Reservation System (https://yoyaku.city.shinagawa.tokyo.jp/) for rooms that are not reserved in the lottery. For Hiratsuka Hall and Event Hall, however, you can only confirm availability.

● Noh Performance Prayer for Happiness—Takasago
Enjoy a performance of representative congratulatory music of Japan’s oldest traditional arts Noh and kyogen (Noh comedy).
Date and Time: June 16 (Sun.), from 2:00 p.m. (The hall will open from 1:30 p.m.)
Program: An easy-to-understand lecture on Noh music (in Japanese), “Do You Noh?” by Tsunao Yamai; sutai (Noh lyrics without music) “Okina” by Yasuaki Konparu (80th head of the Konparu School); kyogen “Suehirogari” by Noriyoshi Okura; Noh “Takasago” by Tsunao Yamai.
