The City Office Reorganized in April
Organizational aspects of the City Office have been changed in April to handle new administrative issues and provide you with even better services. The changes are as follows:

●The Organization of Disaster Prevention Section Has Been Reinforced
・ (New) Community Alliance Subsection: This subsection will work on fire prevention measures together with city resident organizations and private companies dealing with fire prevention in the local communities.
・ (Formerly) Publicity Subsection → (New) Promotion and Support Subsection
・ (Formerly) Disaster Prevention Subsection → (New) Disaster Prevention and Safety Subsection

● Other New Subsections
・ Long-Term Planning Subsection (Planning and Budget Section): This subsection will conduct mid-term analyses of basic long-term plans.
・ System Reform and Measures for Wait Listed Children Subsection (Nursery Section): This subsection will work on coordinating the system of child and childcare and devising solutions to reduce nursery school waiting lists.
・ Guidance Subsection (Senior Citizens Welfare Section): This subsection will issue authorizations, offer guidance and conduct tests for social welfare corporations.

●Subsections to Be Eliminated
・ Master Plan Desk (Urban Planning Section): The Shinagawa City Town Planning Master Plan has been completed, so this subsection has been eliminated.
