New National Health Insurance Cards Effective from October

National Health Insurance cards are renewed every two years, and now is the time. Your new health insurance card will be delivered by simplified registered mail in late September, and can be used starting in October. Please return your expired health insurance card to the National Health Insurance and Pension Section or to your neighborhood community center.
The expiration date of your health insurance card depends on your status of residence and period of stay. If your visa expires before September, please complete the designated procedures to renew it, and file a notification after acquiring a visa status of more than three months.
Note: If you enroll in an insurance plan through your employer, you must apply to withdraw from National Health Insurance. Please call for more information.
