The City Office Reorganized in April

Organizational aspects of the City Office have been changed in April to handle new administrative issues and provide you with even better services. The changes are as follows:

Other New Subsections

• City Promotion Subsection (Public Relations Section): Will reinforce and promote the organization to spread awareness of the attractive qualities of Shinagawa City.
• Number System Subsection (Information Technology System Section): Will handle preparations for the start of the social security and tax number system.
• Community Consultation Subsection (Community Promotion Section): A consultation service counter will be established to which town councils and resident associations can consult individual issues in the community.
• Olympics/Paralympics Promotion Subsection (Culture and Sports Promotion Section): Will handle preparations for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics/Paralympics.
• Individual Number Card Subsection (Family Registry and Residents Section): Will handle preparations for issuing individual number cards with the implementation of the social security and tax number system.

Names of Subsections to Be Changed

• Community Promotion Section: (Formerly) Community Administration Subsection → (New) Community Support Subsection

Subsections to Be Abolished

• Long-Term Planning Subsection (Planning and Budget Section): Since the mid-term review of the Shinagawa long-term basic plan has been completed, this subsection will be eliminated.
