Family Cooking with Foreign Residents

This is a cooking workshop where both Japanese and foreign residents can enjoy learning to cook together and communicating using simple Japanese and English.
Dates and dishes:
June 1 (Sun.): 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., Indian keema curry and nan, world curry quiz challenge
June 29 (Sun.): 9:30 to 11:30 a.m., Want to be a sushi chef! Make fancy funagata-nigiri (boat-shaped) and hosomaki (thin rolled) sushi
July 13 (Sun.): 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., Hawaiian pancakes (made with tofu) and the secret of hula dancing
August 31 (Sun): 9:30 to 11:30 a.m., Let’s enjoy making nagashi-somen (flowing noodles)! and somen, udon, soba and pasta in English
Location: Ebara Cultural Center (1-9-15 Nakanobu)
Instructors: Yukari Yokoyama (English teacher), Wakana Tokumasu (food adviser), Jun Maeda (chef) and others
Eligibility: 15 Japanese families and 15 foreign resident families
Fee: 2,500 yen (for ingredients)

Foreign resident applicants should note their nationality as well.
