Start of Application Period for the Provisional Welfare Benefit for Elderly

Persons who meet the following requirements are eligible to receive this benefit. Those who are believed eligible will be sent an application form in order.

Application period:April 11 (Mon.) to July 15 (Fri.)

Eligibility:Any person who meets all the following requirements

• ・ Registered as a Shinagawa City resident on January 1, 2015
• ・ Was exempted from FY 2015 residence taxes and no dependent family members were subject to residence taxes
• ・ Not a recipient of other support benefits such as livelihood protection or payments for Japanese returnees from China
• ・ Was born before April 1, 1952

Payment:¥30,000 per person

Note:Foreign nationals will need to provide a copy of their Residence Card or Special Permanent Resident Card.
