Convenience Stores Now Issue Certificates

As of September 20, you can obtain certificates such as resident records (juminhyo) using your individual number (My Number) card at multifunction copy machines at designated convenience stores. This extremely convenient service is available at many convenience stores across Japan.

Certificates you can obtain: Resident records; seal registration certificates; certificates of payment, taxation, and tax exemption of resident’s tax (special city tax and metropolitan resident’s tax)*
*Only registered residents of Shinagawa City at the time of obtaining certificates who have filed an income tax report with Shinagawa City for the applicable fiscal year can obtain a certificate. Tax records registered on the certificate are current as of the day before acquisition. You can obtain certificates for the latest fiscal year and the past three years.
Handling fee: 200 yen
Note: This is 100 yen cheaper than at Shinagawa City Office.
Required items: Your individual number card with electronic certificates registered (a four-digit code number is required to use the service)

Shops where convenience store certificate-issuing services are available: Any Seven-Eleven, Lawson (excluding Lawson Store 100), Circle K Sunkus or Family Mart in Japan that has a multifunction copy machine
Hours: 6:30 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. (excluding the year-end/New Year’s holidays [December 29 through January 3])

Note: Certificate-issuing services are not available on October 15 (Sat.) all day due to maintenance.
