An Announcement about Temporary Welfare Benefits

Temporary welfare benefits are provided to Shinagawa City residents exempt from FY2016 resident’s tax who fulfill other designated requirements. Application forms were mailed to eligible residents at the beginning of September.
Eligibility: Those who have completed resident registration in Shinagawa City as of January 1, 2016 and are exempt from FY2016 resident’s tax
Benefit amount: 3,000 yen per person (Recipients of Disability Basic Pension or Survivors’ Basic Pension for May 2016 will receive an additional 30,000 yen per person. However, those who already receive 30,000 yen of the provisional welfare benefit for elderly persons are not eligible for this program.)
Application period: Until February 28 (Tue.), 2017
