Shinagawa City Temporary Welfare Benefit (for Financial Countermeasures) Applications Now Being Accepted

Temporary welfare benefits are provided to Shinagawa City residents who fulfill the eligibility requirements. Application forms were mailed out on March 13 to eligible persons.

Application period: Until September 15 (Fri.)
Eligibility: Residents who meet all of the following requirements:
• Completed resident registration in Shinagawa City as of January 1, 2016
• Exempted from 2016 resident’s tax and not a dependent of a taxpayer paying resident’s tax
• Do not receive public financial assistance for everyday living or as war-displaced Japanese in China.
Benefit amount: 15,000 yen per person
Note: Foreign residents must submit a copy of their residence card, special permanent resident certificate, etc. Please call for more information.
