Yulan magnolia

The Yulan magnolia is characterized by its numerous white big flowers jutting off the ends of its branches. The flowers bloom from buds covered in silver-colored fibers, and take a rounded egg-like shape. The flowers lend a sweet scent to the breezes in March. In Shinagawa City, you can see them in the gardens of homes and at Shinagawa Chuo Park (in front of the Shinagawa City Office) from the middle of March to the end of the month.
