Let’s Experience Japanese Culture!

These classes will be conducted in Japanese and simple English.

● Tea Ceremony Experience
Date and time: June 28 (Fri.)
1) 11:00 a.m. to noon
2) 1:30 to 2:30 p.m.
Location: Shinagawa Historical Museum (6-11-1 Oi)
Meeting location and time: JR Oimachi Station central exit, in front of the entrance gate
1) 10:30 a.m.; 2) 1:00 p.m.
Eligibility and capacity: Those who live, work or go to school in Shinagawa City; 10 foreign residents (by lottery)
Fee: 200 yen

● Japanese Calligraphy Experience
Date and time: June 29 (Sat.), 1:30 to 3:30 p.m.
Location: SIFA (Dai-san Chosha 4F)
Eligibility and capacity: Those who live, work or go to school in Shinagawa City; 12 foreign residents (by lottery)
Fee: 100 yen

Application/inquiries: Submit your application to SIFA by fax or email by June 18 (Tue.), stating the name of the class you would like to take (in the case of the tea ceremony experience, please also write whether you prefer time slot 1 or 2), your name, address, age, gender, nationality, telephone number and email address. If you work in Shinagawa City, please also give the name and address of your employer. If you go to school in Shinagawa City, please also give the name and address of your school.
