Shinagawa City Special Cash Payment Applications Will Be Mailed

Applications for the special cash payment—a financial measure taken against the economic effects of novel coronavirus—will be mailed out soon.

● Payment Amount:100,000 yen per person
● Requirement:You must be a registered resident of Shinagawa City as of April 27, 2020
● Recipient (Applicant):The head of your household
● Payment Method:The money will be transferred into the bank account of the head of your household
Note: To prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus, the City Office has not set up a service counter to handle applications.

● Application Procedure
Applying by mail
Please complete the application form the Shinagawa City Office has sent the head of your household, fill out and apply your name stamp to the form, and return the completed form with the required documents by mail.
Be sure to enclose the following:
● Documentation that shows your bank account information
A copy of your bankbook that shows the bank branch office code, account number and name on the account, or a copy of your cash card.
● Official documentation verifying your personal identification/the identification of the head of your household (applicant/recipient)
This can be a copy of a driver’s license, health insurance card, pension handbook or passport.

Please photocopy two of the abovementioned documents on A4-sized paper and enclose them with your application form.
Note: Please be aware when you fill out the application form that there are two checkboxes for ②給付対象者 (each recipient) on the form. Please use the box on the left □希望 if you would like to receive the special cash payment, and the box on the right □不要 if you do NOT need the special payment. Please make sure to check the box indicating your preference. If no checkmark appears in either box, however, it will be assumed that you wish to receive the special cash payment.

Applying online
Please apply from the Special Cash Payment Application screen of “Pittari” (Perfect Fit) Services of the online service Mynaportal operated by the Japanese government (you must have a My Number Card electronic signature and the code number [6 to 16 digits, in alphanumeric characters] designated at the time you received your My Number Card).
