About COVID-19 Vaccinations
(The information below is current as of October 28.)
● Concerning Vaccinations for Males from 10 Years of Age up to 29
The Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare has indicated that in rare cases myocarditis has been linked with the Moderna vaccine in males from 10 years of age up to 29. If you are a male in that age group, you can switch to the Pfizer vaccine for the second injection if you wish even if your first injection used the Moderna vaccine.
With this in mind, it is also possible for other Shinagawa City residents to switch to the Pfizer vaccine for the second injection even if they received the Moderna vaccine for their first injection. If you would like to change vaccines, please contact the call center. Note: Vaccination switching cannot be done via the website.
● About the third vaccination
Shinagawa City is now preparing for the third round of vaccinations. The vaccination schedule and other details will be announced as soon as they are determined.
To find out about the current status of reservations, please visit the Shinagawa City website.
Information is updated on an ongoing basis.
