About the Booster Vaccine (Third Injection) |
Taking the spread of COVID-19 into consideration, we have changed the scheduled intervals of vaccinations and the scheduled mailout of COVID-19 vaccination tickets. As soon as you receive your vaccination ticket, you can make a vaccination reservation.
● Vaccination Interval
Everyone eighteen years of age or older that received the second injection of the COVID-19 vaccine at least six months ago can receive the booster shot.
●Residents 65 years of age and older: Received the second injection at least six months ago.
●Residents between 18 and 64 years of age: Received the second injection at least six months ago.
Note: You will not be able to make a reservation for the booster shot unless at least six months have passed since your second injection.

【First and Second Injections】
About Vaccinations for Children between 5 and 11 Years Old |
Note: Parents must consent to having their children vaccinated and be present during the procedure.
A COVID-19 vaccine for children between 5 and 11 years old was approved on January 21, and vaccination tickets for the first two injections were mailed on February 25 to households with eligible children. Vaccination tickets for children who are turning five will be mailed during the month before their fifth birthday.
Eligibility: Shinagawa City residents between 5 and 11 years old (about 23,000 persons)
Vaccination fee: Free
Vaccine: Pfizer (for children between 5 and 11 years old)
Note: This vaccine is different from the one for children 12 years of age and older.
Number of injections and interval: Twice, with an interval of three weeks between the first and second injections.
Vaccination starting date: Scheduled for March
