Shinagawa City Office to Be Reorganized in April
The organization of the city office has been revamped to address new administrative issues and to improve city resident services. We describe the changes being made below.

〇 New Government Building Maintenance Section (Unit in charge of New Government Building Maintenance): Responsible for maintaining the new government building.
〇 Handicapped Residents Policy Promotion Section (Planning and Promotion Subsection, Unit in charge of Handicapped Residents Facility Planning): Responsible for planning policies related to handicapped residents and maintaining facilities for handicapped residents.

〇 Section Chief in charge of Yashio Development (Community Promotion Section): Responsible for making Yashio a more attractive area.
〇 Section Chief in charge of Family Registry System (Family Registry and Residents Section): Responsible for responding to legal revisions efficiently and smoothly.
〇 Industry Alliance Promotion Subsection (Commerce and Manufacturing Section): Responsible for handling policies meant to spur the growth of industry in Shinagawa City.
〇 Section Chief in charge of Starting Work Support (Commerce and Manufacturing Section): Responsible for supporting people starting work.
〇 Unit in charge of Sports Promotion (Sports Promotion Section): Responsible for overseeing the Tokyo 2020 Olympics/Paralympics Legacy Policies and holding the city marathon.
〇 Section Chief in charge of Childrearing Support (Child and Family Support Center): Responsible for overseeing childrearing programs and support for young carers.
〇 Section Chief in charge of Business Support (Senior Citizens Welfare Section): Responsible for reinforcing systems involving the maintenance of elderly welfare facilities.
〇 Dementia Sufferers Support Subsection (Senior Citizens Local Support Section): Responsible for overseeing policies for dementia sufferers, including prevention programs.
〇 Section Chief in charge of Senior Citizens Activity Support (Senior Citizens Local Support Section): Responsible for overseeing programs to enrich the lives of the elderly.
● Section Eliminated
〇 Olympic and Paralympic Games Preparation Section: With the successful close of the Tokyo 2020 Olympics/Paralympics, this section has been eliminated.
