Sendai Hill and Shinagawa Seaside Course
In this issue, we describe the waterside course from “Shinagawa City Walking Map—My Leisurely Stroll.” This is just one of many courses overflowing with charm, including waterside parks where the rippling of the river is refreshing, areas with a lot of high-rise buildings, and hilly streets where you can feel the history of the area.

Kurayami Hill (Kyu-Sendai Hill)
This sloping road was called Sendai Hill because the suburban residence of the Date clan of Sendai was located in Higashi-Oi during the Edo Period, and leads to the center of town. The road going through Aomono-Yokocho was later called Sendai Hill, and this street was called Kurayami Hill (Kyu-Sendai Hill).

Yashio Bridge
The bridge is about 414 meters long. It is slightly curved and spans the Keihin Canal. From the pedestrian walkway of the bridge, you can see the Yashio apartment complex and even Rainbow Bridge and Tokyo Skytree. The bridge is also a scenic night spot.

Keihin Canal Green Way
This grassy park measuring about 2.5 km runs along the Keihin Canal. The park is suitable for walking or jogging, and you can enjoy the natural scenery with each season.
