October Is Food Loss Reduction Month
Japan throws away 5.23 million tons of edible food annually. That works out to an average of about 42 kg of food being discarded per person every year.
Shinagawa City will hold various events during October, which is Food Loss Reduction Month, to minimize food loss. We hope everyone will join in the effort to reduce food loss, starting with things we can do every day.
