Subsidy for Bicycle Helmet Purchases

City residents who have purchased a bicycle helmet are entitled to a subsidy of 2,000 yen in Shinagawa City shopping certificates.

Eligibility: Must fulfill all of the following conditions:
• New helmet costs 2,000 yen or more and meets designated safety standards
• Helmet was purchased on or after April 1, 2023
• Registered residents of Shinagawa City enrolled in bicycle liability insurance
Required Documents:
• Application form (designated by Shinagawa City)
• A copy of documentation showing the purchase (such as an official receipt or cash register receipt)
• A copy of documentation showing enrollment in bicycle liability insurance
Application/inquiries: Please either file your application via the Shinagawa City electronic application service, bring the required documents to the Traffic Safety Subsection of the Civil Engineering Administration Section in person, or mail your documents to the same office (Shinagawa City Office Dai-ni Chosha 5F, Shinagawa-ku 140-8715; Tel: 03-5742-6615, Fax: 03-5742-6887) by Sunday, March 31, 2024; must be postmarked by this date.
