Japanese-Language Classes
Levels and Time Slots:
① Part 1: For people who have never studied Japanese (morning, afternoon, evening)
② Part 2: For people who have learned the content of Part 1 (te-form of verbs, dictionary form, imasu/arimasu, etc.) (afternoon, evening)
③ Part 3: For people who have completed Parts 1/2 or Minna no Nihongo Shokyu 1/2 (afternoon, evening)
Schedule: ①② Tuesdays and Thursdays, 9/24-11/28 (twenty lessons)
③ Mondays and Wednesdays, 9/25-12/9 (twenty lessons), excluding 10/14 and 11/4
Class Hours: Morning—10:00 a.m. to noon
Afternoon—1:30 to 3:30 p.m.
Evening—6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Eligibility/Capacity: Sixteen foreign residents per class (on a first-come, first-served basis)
Babysitting: Two preschool children (from around two years old) per time slot
Note: 5,000 yen per child (will be accepted according to the order the payments are made)
Tuition: 7,000 yen per course (textbook fee included)
Location/application/inquiries: Application deadline is August 21 (Wed.; must be received by this date). Please fill out the application form on SIFA’s website, or send a postcard (per person). Please include the name of the class you wish to join (the course and time), your address, name with furigana, age, gender, daytime phone no. and nationality. If you are a student in Shinagawa City, please include the name of the school. If you work in Shinagawa City, please include the name of your place of employment.
