Tokyo 2025 Deaflympics Commemorative
Welfare Festival 2024 & Para-Sports Experience Day

September 28 (Sat.), 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
This event will be held even in light rain.

We will be holding the Welfare Festival and Para-Sports Experience Day at the same time again this year.
These events are fun for people of all ages and both disabled and able-bodied alike.

Collect the stamps inside the venues to earn a gift!

 

Welfare Festival 2024

What is Welfare Festival?
It’s a gathering open to the pubic where both disabled and able-bodied people from welfare-related groups such as the Council of Social Welfare, organizations of the disabled, welfare commissions, volunteer groups and welfare facilities come together to have fun, interact and exchange.

Program:
●Introduction of welfare facilities
●Exhibition/sale of independently manufactured goods
●Bazaar
●Recreation
●Stage performances

Para-Sports Experience Day


Location:
Shinagawa Central Park (in front of Shinagawa City Office)

What is Para-Sports Experience Day?
It’s a sports event where people of all ages, both disabled and able-bodied, can enjoy trying fourteen different para-sports.

Program:
● Five-a-side football (blind soccer)
● Wheelchair tennis
● Paraclimbing
● Wheelchair basketball
● Wheelchair fencing
● Wheelchair racing
● Boccia
● Hearing impaired athletics
...and more!

Top para-athletes will also give demonstrations!
