Course for Foreign Residents—Enjoy Life
Come have fun learning things that will be useful during your life in Shinagawa! We are offering three educational programs for foreign residents: “City Office Operations Orientation,” “Disaster-Preparedness Training” and an “Incineration and Recycling Factory Tour.”
Dates and times (three sessions):
1. November 8 (Fri.): 1:30 to 3:30 p.m.
2. November 15 (Fri.): 11 a.m.to 4 p.m.
3. November 22 (Fri.): noon to 4 p.m.
Note: We will gather at the Shinagawa-ku International Friendship Association (2-1-36 Hiromachi, Daisan Chosha 4F) and go to each location via public transportation.
Location:
1. Shinagawa City Office
2. Honjo Life Safety Learning Center (4-6-6 Yokokawa, Sumida-ku)
3. Shinagawa Incineration Plant (1-4-1 Yashio)
Eligibility and capacity: People who live, work or go to school in Shinagawa City; up to thirty persons on a first-come, first-served basis.
Notes:
1. Interpretation will be provided in English and Chinese (available upon request of at least three participants for each language).
2. Participants are responsible for their own transportation costs, etc.
Application/inquiries: Please fill out the application form on the Shinagawa-ku International Friendship Association’s website or apply in person to the association by no later than Thursday, October 31. Please include your address, name (with furigana), age, daytime phone number and nationality. If you are a student in Shinagawa City, please include the name of your school. If you work in Shinagawa City, please include the name of your place of employment.
