Exploring the Shinagawa Disaster Preparedness Experience Hall

Admission is Free

Shinagawa Disaster Preparedness Experience Hall is a place designed to raise awareness on disaster preparedness where you can gain the knowledge and skills needed to cope with a disaster. Experience Hall has various exhibits and videos related to disasters, such as what supplies to keep in stock. You can also learn how to extinguish fires, transport people requiring special care during an evacuation, and use an AED (automated external defibrillator). Via virtual reality, you can even experience a simulated fire and evacuation after an earthquake. If you want to learn about disaster Preparedness or just want to get some practical hands-on experience, please visit Shinagawa Disaster Preparedness Experience Hall!

Hours: 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
(closed on Mondays, Saturdays, national holidays and during the yearend/New Year’s holidays)
Location: Shinagawa City Office Dai-ni Chosha 2F
Note: Besides Japanese, there are English, Korean and Chinese subtitles. Pamphlets are also available in those four languages.
