Besides the stuff 100Yen shops have, the Shop 99 (formerly 99Yen Only Store) offer fruits, vegetables, milk, bread, spaghetti, and a wide range of cans. Check an expiry date and look for dents (ordinarily, you should avoid purchasing dented cans, anyway).

We know that there is a large one in Ikebukuro, on the left side of the road leading to Shinjuku by E. Exit of the Ikebukuro Sta. Another one (they even have 6-hour video tapes) is in Shibuya on the right side when you are walking past the 109 Bldg. (on the right) towards the Bunkamura. There is one in Roppongi (a small one) near the AXIS Bldg. Another one is on the 2nd floor of the building which used to be Hankyu Dept. Store in Oimachi (JR Keihin-Tohoku Line) and another by the Tokyu-Oimachi Line's Oimachi Sta. (kind of along the tracks). Another one (small) is at the Osaki New City Bldg. (not the Ohsaki Gate City) in the supermarket. These shops are definitely a good deal. They charge a 5 percent government tax -- 104 yen and 105 yen, respectively.
